I used to live on Eleventh Street and Avenue B, in a sixth-floor apartment. That was while I was dating this guy named Benny. Then he dropped me for Alison Grey of the Westport Greys. I guess he'd already gotten all he wanted out of me.
Now Alison has him. And I have smack.
Mimi comes from the musical 'Rent', with one major difference - in her canon, she's dying of AIDS, but this version isn't. Also, her heroin addiction is so severe, she's no longer holding down the job she had at the Cat Scratch club in canon. She lives on the street, and what she does to pay for her drugs...well, she won't tell.
She comes into the bar from December of 1996, totally unaware of how much her life is about to change.
Milliways
Mimi Marquez is a dancer, a former junkie, and one of a very small number of people who can get Roger Davis to calm down when he loses his temper.
You'd think the ex-junkie bit would be the biggest accomplishment there, but no.
Mimi is the youngest member of two large families - the one she was born into and the one she chose. She dances at an S&M club called the Cat Scratch, even though, hailing as she does from the same universe as most of her canonmates, she doesn't actually need the money anymore.
She's of Hispanic descent - Cuban and Puerto Rican, specifically - and has dark hair and eyes.
